I have never seen anyone benefit from drinking alcohol. To me it is an unnecessary expense that could be used with much more benefit elsewhere. What gain can you claim if you lose everything for drink? The problems that are caused by drinking are too many to list and some people would excuse them out anyway. There are many dangers and traps in this world we could fall into and alcohol is one but strangely enough it leads the way to a multitude of pathways that end nowhere.
I personally have seen it make people so ill that it frightened me for their very lives.
Doctors have warned people until they are red in the face and they will continue down that fatal highway regardless, seemingly unaware that anythig is amiss.
Why can't we face our problems on our knees rather than through a bottle? Why do we hurt one another by abuse and neglect with no remorse? What possesses us to get behind the wheel of a vehicle, no matter how large or small, and drive when our senses are dulled from the toxic effects of alcohol? This kills thousands of people per year and yet the bottles remain on the shelves for anyone to buy. Why?
God allows us the choice to do good or evil and some of us choose to do evil mistakenly believing it to be the right thing to do. We must constantly fight a battle and help dry the tears of those who have been terribly hurt or wronged because someone chose to drink. We must continue to pray and work hard in our efforts to lesson the sting of this SERPENT OF DEATH!
